Bed guard selection depends on the exact rail, bed frame and mattress combination. Width and height alone do not establish compatibility.

Read the complete instructions before assembly. Identify the supplied parts and the intended attachment or locking points. Stop if a component is missing, damaged or does not fit as described, and contact the retailer rather than improvising a repair.

Obtain the manufacturer’s permitted ages, bed types, mattress sizes and attachment instructions.
Check the complete installation requirements rather than using a generic gap or rail-height measurement from a blog.
Do not adapt a bed guard into a cot side or improvise additional straps, padding or fasteners.

The name of a material, including mesh or foam, is not evidence that a bed guard prevents falls or entrapment.
