A camera can display an image, but that does not establish an improvement in driving or child-restraint safety. Check the actual camera, monitor, power connection and mounting instructions.

Choosing and using the product

Start with the intended use, the space available and the manufacturer’s instructions. Compare documented features instead of promises about how quickly a child will learn or how a product will change behaviour. Contact the retailer for missing product details.

Information to check

• Compare the mounting method with your vehicle and child-restraint instructions.
• Ask for the supported power supply, cable route and adjustment instructions for the model.
• Check stated display and low-light specifications rather than assuming the camera can see every seat or every condition.

A camera does not replace an approved child restraint or attentive driving. Do not adjust or watch a display while driving; stop somewhere appropriate before making changes.
