Check the kit’s actual contents and whether the recording method involves contact with ink or another material. Different kits may require different preparation.

Materials and product information

Ask for information that identifies the exact model and material. A general description of a material does not establish the performance of a finished product. If a claim matters to your purchase, request the document supporting it.

Information to check

• Request the manufacturer’s intended ages, material information and directions for the recording method.
• Confirm the number and size of recording sheets, any frame dimensions and what is included.
• Follow the instructions for handling, drying and storage; keep small components and packaging away from children.

Do not infer skin-contact suitability or a non-toxic certification from the phrase keepsake kit. Ask for product-specific information before use.
